SERVICES
Roketsan's environmental conditions testing laboratories provide defence industry companies and other institutions and organizations with objective, impartial, and high-quality testing services.
On its journey, which started in 1991, the environmental conditions testing laboratory was registered by the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK) in 2012, and accredited within the scope of military standards (MIL-STD-810F/G, MIL-STD-331/167). The tests that can be conducted at the laboratory have gained international validity because of this accreditation, and the consistency and reliability of the provided quality are assured through the maintenance of the accreditation every year. The environmental test laboratory responds to the demands of civil and military institutions and organizations in need of testing services, and continues to provide the optimum service by prioritizing quality in all its test and measurement activities. In the tests conducted within the scope of its accreditation activities, the storage and handling of the sample in appropriate ambient conditions in Roketsan’s test facilities are carried out in accordance with the provisions of the ISO 17025 standard. The rocket test capabilities involve the use of test infrastructures that are both covered and not covered within the scope of the accreditation.
The environmental condition testing infrastructure is capable of testing energetic materials. The test systems and laboratory layout meet the standards required by the DoD (Department of Defence). Environmental condition tests are grouped under three main categories: mechanical tests, climatic tests and abrasion-resistance tests.
1. Climatic tests:
2. Mechanical Tests:
3. Abrasion-resistance:
Thanks to its infrastructure and the competence of the personnel, the environmental conditions test laboratory is capable of testing and reporting in accordance with different standards and methods (ITOP, STANAG, DO-160, ISO 16750, RTCA, MIL-STD-7743, TS EN 60068, etc.) that are not included within the scope of its accreditation. Testing services are provided to defence industries and to other industries in line with their needs. The laboratory is kitted out with all the mobile data collection systems and sensors, power supplies, oscilloscopes, signal generators, all types of manual devices, auxiliary test equipment (such as video and photo recording systems for the recording pf test phases), and consumable gases like liquid-gas nitrogen, argon and helium, as well as all the necessary handling equipment, required by the institutions and organizations that receive test services.
Environmental condition tests are intensified physical impact tests that are performed to allow the effects that external factors may have on a product during its lifecycle to be seen, and permit the necessary precautions to be taken against adverse situations. The tests to be performed on the test items are determined and applied according to a matrix, considering the lifecycle of the product and the environment to which it will be exposed. In addition, all kinds of engineering and technical consultancy services related to the tests are provided.
