AIRBUS DEFENCE and SPACE to COLLABORATE with ROKETSAN

Airbus Defence and Space and Roketsan of “Turkey have today signed a memorandum of understanding covering future collaboration on a range of military aerospace activities. Under the terms of the agreement signed at the ILA airshow in Berlin, the two companies will initially exchange business and technical information with the aim of verifying possible areas of cooperation. The envisaged activities include, but are not restricted to, combat air systems, weapon integration, and future combat systems including Turkey´s new indigenous fighter. The MoU was signed by Airbus Defence and Space Head of Military Aircraft, Domingo Ureña Raso and Roketsan CEO&President, Selcuk Yasar. Domingo Ureña Raso said: “We are impressed by Roketsan’s achievements in aerospace until now and look forward to exploring possible grounds for collaboration in the years ahead as we seek to expand our excellent relationship with Turkish industry.“ Selcuk Yasar said: “We look forward to exploring a range of cooperation opportunities including the feasibility of integrating our weapon systems, such as the Stand-Off Missile SOM, on current Airbus Defence and Space platforms as well as on future combat systems. We hope the result of this initiative will lead to a broader business cooperation in the future between the two companies”.
